About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead legal support on US and Americas deals by drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and providing end-to-end support on customer and partner contracts
  • Identify, assess, and advise on legal, financial, and operational risks
  • Advise stakeholders on contractual risk and house positions, shape client negotiation strategy, and drive deals to signature
  • Support procurement team supplier contract negotiations and procurement-related risk assessments
  • Build and improve global contract templates and integrate them into the commercial ecosystem
  • Provide legal advice on new product initiatives and feature launches
  • Work with the General Counsel on go-to-market strategy and contract templates for new offerings and revenue streams
  • Develop and deliver training for global sales teams and contribute to legal resources, toolkits, playbooks, and standard contractual positions
  • Monitor applicable laws and regulations and advise on emerging legal risks and required adaptations
  • Lead legal-function improvement initiatives through implementation
  • Improve contracting governance, legal risk guardrails, escalation processes, and risk frameworks
  • Potentially expand support into IP, regulatory compliance, and general legal advisory
  • Work with legal and wider business teams to train colleagues and encourage self-serve behaviours
  • Report to the General Counsel and contribute to the wider legal strategy

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Law degree and Bar Admission to at least one jurisdiction in the US
  • 3–5+ years of legal experience focused primarily on drafting and negotiating commercial contracts
  • Ability to work independently and own matters end-to-end within a broader legal team
  • Strong commercial acumen and pragmatic legal-risk advisory approach
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, drafting, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the business
  • Openness and enthusiasm for learning new areas of law and regulation
  • Impeccable time and priority management
  • Initiative, accountability, proactivity, resourcefulness, and solution orientation
  • Highly organised and self-motivated with strong problem-solving capabilities
  • Strong team-player and can-do approach
  • Desirable: experience advising technology, data, or subscription-based businesses
  • Desirable: exposure to product-related or platform legal work
