About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- You perform sampling activities under the responsibility of the site biologist
- Verify the cleanliness and hygiene of rooms before and after sample collection procedures
- Welcome, identify and position patients and review their requests
- Perform sample collections in accordance with procedures and instructions
- Be able to collect samples from all types of patients (ideally children and infants)
- Label samples and complete tracking forms required for interpretation of results
- Inform patients about result turnaround times
- Manage samples, prepare them for transfer to the testing platform, and ensure urgent samples are clearly identified
- Assist with reception/secretarial duties and pre- and post-analytical activities
Requirements
What you’ll need- You are a Registered Nurse (RN) and enjoy patient interaction in the context of sample collection
- You are patient and a reliable team player
- You have a preference for sample-collection work and the ability to perform at a sustained pace
- You hold an up-to-date vaccination certificate (including Hepatitis B)
