About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

You perform sampling activities under the responsibility of the site biologist
Verify the cleanliness and hygiene of rooms before and after sample collection procedures
Welcome, identify and position patients and review their requests
Perform sample collections in accordance with procedures and instructions
Be able to collect samples from all types of patients (ideally children and infants)
Label samples and complete tracking forms required for interpretation of results
Inform patients about result turnaround times
Manage samples, prepare them for transfer to the testing platform, and ensure urgent samples are clearly identified
Assist with reception/secretarial duties and pre- and post-analytical activities

Requirements

What you’ll need

You are a Registered Nurse (RN) and enjoy patient interaction in the context of sample collection
You are patient and a reliable team player
You have a preference for sample-collection work and the ability to perform at a sustained pace
You hold an up-to-date vaccination certificate (including Hepatitis B)
