About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of end users’ needs and values
  • Collaborate with product management and design to prioritize features and stories with external dependencies and obtain team commitments
  • Serve as subject matter expert and primary contact for product functionality, product backlog, and product-related issues
  • Develop and maintain an appropriately prioritized backlog of user stories and team backlogs
  • Effectively communicate business needs to scrum teams with user stories and acceptance criteria that serve as a single point of truth for development, quality assurance, and business.
  • Actively participate in product backlog refinement sessions, retrospectives, defect management, and cross-functional team release planning sessions
  • Collaborate with key partners across business and technology to identify problems and opportunities, manage stakeholder expectations, and balance constraints
  • Collaborate with Product Management and contribute to the vision of the Program Backlog
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Strong understanding of Agile principles and processes
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as an Agile Release Train Engineer, Scrum Master, or Product Owner
  • Candidate must have the ability to work in a team environment within various functional areas such as software development, software quality assurance, IT system administration, delivery, and sales
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent communication, professional, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to distill complex technical concepts into easy-to-understand information
  • Experience creating wireframes and process flow charts
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe, Jira, and related project management tools
  • SAFe Agile PO/PM Certification Preferred
  • Experience working in a Scrum Framework
  • Experience working with and managing executive stakeholders and participating in leadership meetings
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and prioritize workload and deliverables within schedule constraints to deliver results
  • Self-motivated, action-oriented, and actively pursues opportunities for improvement
  • Strong attention to detail with proven analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with issue/defect tracking and change management tools
  • Ability to quickly learn new skills, technologies, and processes
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
