Key responsibilities & impact

Define and drive initiative-level design strategies across Etsy’s native app experiences
Navigate evolving product surfaces and shifting priorities
Coach designers through complex initiatives and product evolution
Partner with Brand and Design Systems to ensure experiences are accessible, performant, and scalable across the buyer lifecycle
Work closely with Product, Engineering, and Research leadership to translate constraints and opportunities into actionable design direction and long-term roadmap alignment
Use qualitative and quantitative insights to improve buyer confidence, conversion, engagement, and overall marketplace performance

Requirements

What you’ll need

Experience leading the design of large-scale ecommerce or consumer mobile app experiences from discovery through delivery
Strong systems thinking and experience designing for native app environments
A proven ability to define ambiguous problem spaces and drive evidence-based solutions with measurable outcomes
Experience mentoring and developing designers, setting clear performance expectations, and supporting continuous growth
A strong understanding of accessibility, performance, and scalable design systems in mobile contexts
Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to align senior stakeholders around tradeoffs and long-term vision
