About the role
- Directing and implementing solutions to moderately complex problems
- Collaborating with teammates to independently tackle well-scoped problems
- Delivering projects independently or by leading teammates
- Contributing to features and projects within a broader product or system
- Developing and maintaining critical path product services
- Providing design and code reviews
- Working cross-functionally with Payments teams and other stakeholders
- Pushing code to production early and often using continuous deployment systems
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience
- Experience operating within a large codebase
- Understanding the fundamentals of building robust services
- Flexibility with different programming languages and cloud-native environments
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Advising and implementing solutions to loosely scoped problems
- Ability to produce understandable, testable code with an eye towards maintainability
- Understanding of the implications of work on end users
- Experience in both back-end and front-end coding in PHP & JavaScript or similar codebases
