About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Create and implement curriculum in Ethos online learning environments
- Maintain regular synchronous sessions (minimum of ten times a semester)
- Facilitate and grade all assignments in a timely manner
- Communicate regularly with students and their families about classroom activities and student progress
- Actively participate in regular required job-embedded professional development courses
- Support the mission, vision, and core values of Ethos School
Requirements
What you’ll need- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in subject area is required; a master’s degree is preferred
- Relevant teaching experience of 3+ years is required, with AP experience in subject area preferred
- Current teaching certificate in Secondary Education is required
- Knowledge of student cognitive development and various learning styles
- Ability to create a curriculum that meets state/national/College Board and Ethos requirements
- Computer literate in software and internet-based applications
- Collaborative nature with the ability to build consensus
