About the role

  • Establish the vision, principles, and roadmap for Ethos’ design system
  • Audit the current system and identify opportunities for standardization
  • Define a scalable token strategy and approach to theming across products
  • Design, build, and maintain Figma libraries
  • Create high-quality component specifications
  • Ensure the system supports narrative and conversion-driven experiences
  • Partner with Design System / Front-End engineers
  • Align on workflows that keep design and code in sync
  • Build documentation and coach partner teams
  • Define success metrics and track meaningful signals

Requirements

  • 7+ years of relevant experience in design systems
  • Strong product design foundation with excellent visual and interaction craft
  • Hands-on experience building and maintaining design systems in Figma
  • Strong working fluency with modern front-end concepts
  • Experience setting accessibility standards
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity and build structure
  • Clear communicator who can align diverse stakeholders
  • A portfolio demonstrating end-to-end design system thinking
  • Experience with building design tokens pipelines preferred
  • Experience with video, motion, illustration/iconography preferred
