About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Identifying and qualifying supplier leads and projects from multiple databases and sources
  • Making outbound calls and engaging with prospects to understand their business, needs and challenges
  • Booking high-quality meetings for BDMs and other outbound sales team members
  • Running discovery conversations to uncover customer pain points and identify strong-fit opportunities
  • Managing a pipeline of leads with discipline, focus and attention to detail
  • Keeping accurate CRM records, including detailed notes from conversations and customer insights
  • Working with marketing and sales teammates to make the most of existing customer data
  • Sharing insights, learnings and market feedback with your team and the wider business

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • You’re looking to start or grow your career in sales, and you’re excited to learn
  • You’ve got that Sales DNA. You’re curious, motivated, and willing to step into conversations with confidence
  • You don’t need years of experience, but you do bring energy, resilience and a willingness to have a go
  • You love picking up the phone to talk with people and build relationships
  • You listen with curiosity, you seek to understand, and you can spot unmet needs or opportunities
  • You’re comfortable working towards clear targets and outcomes
  • You’re tenacious, methodical and upbeat
  • You’re achievement oriented and enjoy the momentum that comes from a busy pipeline
  • You have strong organisational skills and can keep clear, accurate records
  • You’re a self-starter with a willingness to work as part of a small, dedicated and fun team
  • You have a natural curiosity for how businesses operate and what makes them tick
