About the role
- Record and verify incoming invoices in the system, ensuring correct tax classification;
- Analyze, calculate and apply withholding taxes on services and transactions, such as IRRF, PIS, COFINS, CSLL, INSS and ISS;
- Perform calculation and reconciliation of withheld taxes, ensuring consistency between tax documents, the system and tax filings;
- Prepare, review and file ancillary tax obligations, such as DIRF, EFD-Reinf, DCTFWeb, MIT and DCTF, ensuring deadlines and legal compliance;
- Analyze tax and accounting reports, identifying inconsistencies, discrepancies and opportunities for regularization;
- Reconcile supplier accounts, clearing accounts, advances and withheld taxes, tracking outstanding items and making adjustments;
- Support internal and external audits by providing information, reports and tax documentation;
- Monitor changes in tax legislation, especially related to withholding taxes, contributing to updates of internal procedures;
- Liaise with Accounting, Finance, Legal and Purchasing departments to ensure alignment of information and compliance with tax processes;
- Record invoices from foreign suppliers, analyzing the nature of the transaction and calculating, withholding and remitting applicable taxes in accordance with legislation and international treaties.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (candidates in their final year may be considered);
- Previous experience as a Tax Analyst with hands-on experience in withholding taxes;
- Solid knowledge of federal, state and municipal tax legislation, with emphasis on withholding taxes;
- Practical experience in calculating withheld taxes and fulfilling ancillary tax obligations such as DIRF, EFD-Reinf, DCTFWeb and DCTF;
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills for analyses, reconciliations and tax controls;
- Demonstrates collaboration, organization, results orientation, good interpersonal skills, problem-solving ability and a continuous learning mindset.
- PREFERRED/DIFFERENTIALS:
- Experience with ERP systems, especially SAP or similar;
- Experience with Easy Way;
- Use of Google Sheets and Google Forms for controls, analyses and data collection;
- Experience with tax routines involving foreign suppliers;
- Ability to work effectively across internal departments;
- Ongoing updates and awareness of changes in tax legislation.
