About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Evaluate moderately complex procedures, processes, models, and systems related to management and organizational performance.
  • Assist in designing new processes, models, or systems.
  • Direct and support the preparation of analyses, reports, and presentations.
  • Provide project direction and assistance to the Principal Consultant and Project Manager.
  • Provide daily supervision and direction to assigned personnel.
  • Define technical tasks, deliverables, and target completion dates.
  • Advise government clients regarding available options, recommendations, and next steps.
  • Support FEMA emergency-management training and education initiatives.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • At least 12 years of progressively responsible experience as an expert in a scientific, professional, or technical field.
  • Demonstrated experience evaluating programs, processes, procedures, models, or systems.
  • Experience preparing and directing analyses, reports, and presentations.
  • Experience supervising or directing technical and professional personnel.
  • Proficiency with word-processing, graphics, and desktop-publishing systems.
  • Ability to work effectively with government clients and project leadership.
  • Ability to qualify for a federal Public Trust background investigation.
  • Master’s degree in a relevant scientific, technical, or professional field.
  • Demonstrated expertise supported through professional or technical literature may also be considered where permitted by the contract.
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting FEMA, DHS, or another federal emergency-management program.
  • Emergency preparedness, disaster response, recovery, resilience, training, or exercise-program experience.
  • Federal consulting experience.
