Key responsibilities & impact

The Nurse Residency Program offers a structured and supportive environment for new nurses to develop their skills and transition smoothly into their professional careers.
The program coincides with the unit you are hired into and all nurses with less than one year of experience are enrolled in the program.
Goal: To support new graduate nurses in their transition from novice nurse to competent nurse through professional development.
Length: 1 year program
Shifts: Typically 0.7-0.8 FTE working Day/Night (some 12-hour shifts or D/E availability), but openings vary.

What you’ll need

Nursing license in Minnesota before start date with Essentia Health
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within one month of hire.
