About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Managing and resolving high volumes of accounts for services provided by Essentia Health
  • Acting as the primary contact or liaison for patients to discuss outstanding statements and resolve inquiries in a timely manner
  • Providing efficient and accurate support for insurance, coding, registration, financial assistance and other billing related issues
  • Performing routine account analysis to evaluate, develop and implement action plans with patients to resolve financial responsibilities
  • Follow-up with delinquent accounts and payment plans, collection of patient accounts
  • Handling incoming patient mail and responding to inquiries via written communication

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience with handling cash payments
  • self-pay collections
  • exceptional customer service skills
  • Knowledge of utilizing office equipment such as computers, software applications, printer, FAX, copier, and billing programs
  • Experience in customer service, call center and/or collections (preferred)
