Key responsibilities & impact

Managing and resolving high volumes of accounts for services provided by Essentia Health
Acting as the primary contact or liaison for patients to discuss outstanding statements and resolve inquiries in a timely manner
Providing efficient and accurate support for insurance, coding, registration, financial assistance and other billing related issues
Performing routine account analysis to evaluate, develop and implement action plans with patients to resolve financial responsibilities
Follow-up with delinquent accounts and payment plans, collection of patient accounts
Handling incoming patient mail and responding to inquiries via written communication

Requirements

What you’ll need

Experience with handling cash payments
self-pay collections
exceptional customer service skills
Knowledge of utilizing office equipment such as computers, software applications, printer, FAX, copier, and billing programs
Experience in customer service, call center and/or collections (preferred)
