Pharmacist – Retail Float

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- perform all duties associated with interpretation, dispensing and monitoring of medications
- provide quality pharmaceutical services to patients, physicians and other health care professionals
- optimize drug therapy to improve the patient's quality of life and health outcomes
- provide access to medications and immunizations
- participate in clinical initiatives and assist in all aspects of the daily pharmacy department activities
- train new staff and pharmacy students
- supervise pharmacy technicians and interns
- resolve customer service issues and handle billing and record keeping
- conduct monthly audits and other functions for optimal pharmacy performance
- control inventory, care of supplies and equipment
- manage accurate cash handling and other duties assigned by department leader
Requirements
What you’ll need- Graduate of a college of pharmacy accredited by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education (BS or PharmD degree required)
- Licensed as a Registered Pharmacist by the Board of Pharmacy in the state in which they will be working (Minnesota, Wisconsin)
- Must be registered with the Board of Pharmacy in Minnesota or Wisconsin as a Pharmacist-Intern and actively pursuing licensure as a Registered Pharmacist, obtaining licensure within 90 days of hire
- New hires must obtain licensure within 90 days of hire
- Ongoing continuing education and license renewal as required by the state Board of Pharmacy
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certified within one week of hire
- Immunization Delivery Certification required at time of hire
