About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead medium to large-scale strategic and technology projects using a blend of Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Manage all phases of project delivery, including planning, requirements gathering, solution design, testing, implementation, and post-project review.
- Partner with business leaders, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to define project objectives, deliverables, timelines, and success metrics.
- Monitor project scope, timelines, budgets, risks, and dependencies to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Provide clear and timely project status updates to stakeholders and leadership teams, ensuring transparency and alignment.
- Facilitate collaboration among project team members and business partners to drive progress and remove barriers.
- Proactively identify project risks, issues, and roadblocks, and develop mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
- Manage stakeholder expectations through effective communication, problem-solving, and change management practices.
- Coordinate with external vendors and third-party partners, influencing outcomes and resolving challenges as needed.
- Promote a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and process improvement across project teams.
- Ensure project work adheres to Summit's Project Management Office (PMO) standards and industry best practices.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
- 1+ years of experience leading medium to large-scale technology projects.
- Experience utilizing Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project management methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects through the full project lifecycle, including requirements definition, system design, testing, documentation, and implementation.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to identify root causes of process and system performance issues and implement effective solutions.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with employees and leaders at all levels of the organization.
- Experience managing third-party vendors, negotiating solutions, and influencing positive outcomes.
- Proven ability to lead change initiatives and drive continuous improvement efforts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools such as Planview PPM Pro, Jira, and Microsoft Project.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
