About the role
- Influence software development and cross-divisional teams to successfully deliver strategic cybersecurity and privacy projects
- Facilitate the clear definition of project scope, deliverables, milestones, and completion criteria to enable project success
- Develop and manage project work plans (schedules, budgets, release plans, communication plans, RACIs, and more) and drive accountability within the team
- Coordinate internal and external project resources, including vendors, to support project activities and deadlines
- Continuously monitor project health and clearly communicate project status updates to stakeholders
- Expedite compliance with industry standards and regulations such as FedRAMP, NIST, and ISO
- Act as a trusted intermediary, facilitating discussions with sponsors, key stakeholders, SMEs, management, and project team members
- Facilitate security training and awareness programs for team members across software development, engineering and product management
- Structure and maintain internal and external assessment documentation via advancing automation capabilities and standards
- Become an expert in the mission and operations of advancing security and privacy into Esri’s products
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a project manager driving delivery and adoption of complex projects with information technology / software solutions
- Superior attention to detail, strong reasoning and critical thinking skills
- Proactive and entrepreneurial mindset, and a curious nature
- Experience managing issues, assignments, and projects within GitHub, Jira, SharePoint, MS Teams, or similar tools
- Customer-focused, technically savvy individual with a hands-on approach
- Ability to clearly communicate technical ideas with non-technical and technical peers and project managers

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management Information Systems, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fields
- Certifications in project management or security such as PMP, CISSP, and CISM
- Knowledge of principles and practices in software engineering or application development
- Experience with security and privacy standards such as FedRAMP, HIPAA, ISO, GDPR and associated certification processes
- Experience in web development languages and/or secure DevOps processes
- Master’s degree in a related STEM field
- Familiarity with Esri technology
