About the role
- Serve as Deputy Manager of a children’s home providing outstanding therapeutic care
- Support one young person in a solo-service residential placement with stability and tailored support
- Support everyday life skills, education, social confidence, and meaningful experiences
- Work a rota of 2 days on, 4 days off (including sleep nights); rota planned in advance
- Undertake sleep nights as part of duties with sleeps paid in addition
- Ensure care meets regulatory/Ofsted standards and contribute to compliant service delivery
- Lead and support staff; provide supervision and contribute to staffing management and development
Requirements
- At least 2 years’ experience in a children’s residential care home (within the last 5 years)
- Minimum 12 months supervising/managing staff in a care setting
- Level 3 Diploma (or higher) in Residential Childcare (England) or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations, legislation, and Quality Standards
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Full UK driving licence & right to work in the UK
- Must be 21+ (to meet industry regulations)
