About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives) and ensure adherence to Agile principles.
- Manage Kanban workflows and optimize throughput for teams operating in continuous delivery environments.
- Coordinate across multiple teams in SAFe or scaled Agile frameworks, ensuring synchronization and dependency management.
- Develop and maintain project roadmaps, release plans, and risk registers aligned to business priorities and delivery milestones.
- Track progress against key performance indicators (KPIs) and communicate status updates to stakeholders with clarity and transparency.
- Anticipate risks and implement mitigation strategies to maintain delivery predictability.
- Utilize MS Planner or equivalent tools for backlog management, sprint tracking, and reporting.
- Create dashboards and visual reports to provide real-time visibility into team performance, velocity, and burn-down metrics.
- Ensure accurate and timely updates to project artifacts for auditability and compliance.
- Serve as the primary liaison between business owners, technical teams, and leadership, ensuring alignment on goals and priorities.
- Facilitate collaborative decision-making and resolve conflicts to maintain team focus and morale.
- Deliver executive-ready presentations summarizing progress, risks, and recommendations.
- Promote a culture of learning and adaptability, encouraging teams to experiment and adopt best practices.
- Coach team members and stakeholders on Agile principles, roles, and responsibilities to strengthen organizational agility.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance delivery efficiency and team satisfaction.
Requirements
What you’ll need- All candidates must pass public trust clearance through the U.S. Federal Government.
- Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), SAFe Agilist, or equivalent Agile certification.
- 5+ years managing projects, with at least 3 years applying Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe methodologies in complex, cross-functional environments.
- Proficiency with Agile project management tools (Azure Boards, MS Planner, Jira, or similar).
- Strong understanding of Agile metrics (velocity, burn-down, cumulative flow) and reporting best practices.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality and accurate work.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Proven ability to manage time and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
