About the role
- This position offers the successful candidate the opportunity to work as part of a team responsible for delivering financial management of both project and business performance for Asset Development.
- Key priorities for the Finance and Admin team member in Asset Development is to support project directors as they work towards identifying and developing opportunities to enhance and expand ESB’s generation portfolio.
- Supplier Relationship Management shopper support for Asset Development including setting up carts in line with Work Breakdown Structures and ensuring appropriate approvals are in place.
- Responsible for goods receipting invoices when appropriate approval has been received.
- Supporting Project Directors with purchases by assisting with queries on SRM workflow and following up on invoice processing queries with the Invoice Processing team and payment queries with the Finance Operations Payments team.
- Coordinate and manage the non-centralised payments process through various channels ensuring correct governance measures are adhered to.
- Assist with monthly billing and liaising with the OTC team in Finance Operations.
- Submitting new Vendor requests through the SAP Portal and engaging with the Finance Operations Master Data team regarding SAP Vendors.
- Assist with tendering processes including reviewing financials of contracting entities as part of their Pre-Qualification Questionnaires.
- Coordinate various monthly / quarterly reports in relation to both finance and governance on behalf of Asset Development.
- Assist Project Directors with ad hoc queries including tracking and monitoring project expenditure and exploring issues as they arise.
- Coordinate various ad hoc finance initiatives on behalf of Asset Development including improvement measures / projects.
- Assist with planning and delivery of Asset Development internal staff events e.g. monthly staff meetings and quarterly.
- Responsible for sourcing venue/hotel, booking accommodation, coordinating and arranging travel for teams and external speakers.
- Provide administrative support to the Head of Asset Development and their teams to coordinate diaries and book events for the teams.
Requirements
- 2+ years of finance/administration experience
- A good understanding of basic accounting and invoice processing processes
- An ability to act independently working to solve problems and implement solutions
- Highly motivated – be able to work on their own initiative and as part of a team to deliver high quality of work to tight deadlines
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Extensive knowledge in Microsoft Office
- Good attention to detail
- Prior experience of working with SAP Supplier Relationship Management is desirable
- A qualification in business/finance, or similar work experience, would be advantageous
