About the role

  • Leads and promotes a safety culture amongst stations electrical and stations civil contractors.
  • Manages compliance of all Stations framework contractors through consistent auditing.
  • Partakes in incident investigations as required.
  • Provides safety and technical expertise support to the CPG Training and Approvals team.
  • Schedules safety and quality audits and feeds back performance to staff and contractors.
  • Supports and coaches contractors on safety, standards, training and performance.
  • Conducts safety and technical assessments on all Stations framework contractors.
  • Develops relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Advanced Level 6 Electrical Craft Certificate/A suitable Level 7 or higher qualification in Electrical, Electrical Services, Electronics, Mechanical or other suitable alternative qualification with a sizeable electrical theory content.
  • Minimum of 4 relevant years’ experience is essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Full clean EU driving licence.
  • Travel required.
  • ESB IT Systems and Applications knowledge (Desirable).
  • Knowledge of standards for Poling on the Overhead Electricity Network (Desirable).
  • Knowledge of OHL Network Assets (Desirable).
  • Knowledge of the Safety Rules and Procedures (Desirable).
  • ESB Networks Business knowledge (Desirable).
  • Knowledge of ESBN Network Operations and Procedures (Desirable).
  • Contractor and Service Provider Management experience (Desirable).
  • Arboriculture Timber cutting standards and safety requirements (Desirable).
