About the role
- Assist in civil or structural design from feasibility through detailed design for infrastructure projects
- Support engineering works packages: scope definition, procurement, technical assessment and commercial oversight
- Participate in due diligence reviews of internal and external designs to ensure compliance with relevant specifications
- Contribute to design risk assessments for all engineering deliverables
- Provide technical input to project teams and collaborate with colleagues to ensure quality and compliance with standards
- Co-ordinate with internal and external stakeholders to progress projects through all lifecycle stages and governance gates – from concept stage through to construction
Requirements
- Level 8 Engineering Degree or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of relevant civil and / or structural engineering experience
- Proven ability to contribute to the management of significant projects or key aspects of projects
- Good commercial and project management skills
- Good safety awareness and communication skills
- Valid driver's license for ROI, access to a car, and flexibility to travel nationwide
- Working towards Chartership it in a recognized professional institution
- Experience in utility or linear infrastructure projects
- Familiarity with FIDIC Conditions of Contract or similar
- Experience in performing the role of designer on projects
