About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead weekly buy and inventory management for assigned categories, ensuring alignment to service and inventory targets.
  • Own Open-to-Buy (OTB) planning and supplier investment strategies to balance availability and working capital.
  • Drive consensus demand planning with Product Management, Sales, Finance, and Supply Planning.
  • Proactively manage supply constraints and risk mitigation with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Analyze in-stock, fill rate, and forecast accuracy performance, leading initiatives to improve KPIs.
  • Partner on promotional and lifecycle planning for demand shifts and new product introductions.
  • Lead excess and obsolete inventory reduction strategies through data-driven insights and cross-functional action plans.
  • Identify and implement process improvements, automation opportunities, and best practices in demand planning workflows.
  • Act as a subject matter expert and mentor to junior planners.
  • Participate in or lead cross-functional projects and strategic initiatives.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of experience in demand planning, inventory planning, or supply chain analytics.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
  • Ability to analyze complex data sets and translate insights into actionable plans.
  • Experience with ERP and planning systems such as P21, Slimstock, or similar.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration experience with Sales, Product, Supply Chain, and Finance teams.
  • Strategic mindset balancing short-term execution and long-term planning.
  • Strong influencing skills and ability to drive stakeholder alignment without direct authority.
  • Track record of improving forecast accuracy, service levels, or inventory productivity.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, data-driven, and evolving environment.
  • Excellent communication, prioritization, and organizational skills.
  • Continuous improvement mindset focused on process standardization and efficiency.
