About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist the Category Manager in driving category strategy, product roadmap, strategic supplier relationships, growth, and profitability
- Support development and execution of product mix and pricing models
- Help manage supplier relationships
- Implement marketing communications that drive category performance
- Initiate ERP changes for stocking profile, product lifecycle, and cost pricing
- Ensure necessary inventory actions to remove obsolete stock
- Research competitive product offerings, market pricing, and industry technology trends
- Initiate stock balancing requests for inactive, obsolete, and surplus products
- Execute inventory liquidation strategies for related categories
- Generate sales, promotional effectiveness, inventory effectiveness, and gross margin reporting
- Liaise with sales to understand market trends and customer needs
- Perform administrative duties and ad hoc requests
Requirements
What you’ll need- Some experience in product/category management, product marketing, buying, or vendor management
- Experience with Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, Teams, and PowerPoint
- Fluent in Dutch and French
- Proficiency in English
- Willingness to travel
- Eagerness to learn and grow within an organization
- Self-starter, organized, flexible, and customer focused
- Strong business sense
- Ability to understand decisions’ impact on other areas of the business
- Ability to learn quickly and communicate about new technologies in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to proactively recognize issues and opportunities
- Ability to manage high-revenue external vendor relationships end-to-end
