About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the primary support for Outside Sales Reps, addressing high-level customer inquiries and assisting in account management to maximize revenue & gross margin on assigned book of business.
- Prepare and manage quotes, proposals, and business reviews to support the sales process.
- Conduct customer research to identify opportunities for deeper engagement and account growth.
- Manage Salesforce data, including account updates, pipeline tracking, and reporting to support sales representatives.
- Resolve customer issues by coordinating with internal teams to ensure timely and effective resolution.
- Analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement
- Cultivate strong relationships with existing customers & suppliers to drive satisfaction, loyalty, and retention.
- Adapt day-to-day activities to meet the unique needs of customers.
- Partner closely with sales reps and other sales roles to deliver a seamless and high-quality customer experience.
- Facilitate effective handoffs and communication between teams to maintain account continuity and satisfaction.
- Assist with scheduling and coordinating partner meetings with outside sales representatives.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3+ years of experience in account management, sales support, or customer service, preferably in distribution or related industries.
- Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Experience working with a distributor-based sales model a plus
