About the role

  • Define and execute a unified UI/UX strategy across Control4 and OvrC platforms
  • Champion customer-centric design practices addressing integrators and end users
  • Oversee modernization of Control4 UI to enhance usability, personalization, and visual appeal
  • Drive consistency and usability across OvrC, including multi-site management and automation workflows
  • Lead initiatives to sunset legacy tools and migrate workflows into OvrC
  • Build and mentor a high-performing team of UI/UX designers and researchers
  • Implement scalable design systems and processes for cross-platform consistency
  • Expand end-customer research programs (NPS, usability testing, focus groups)
  • Partner with product, engineering, and marketing to translate business goals into user experiences

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in UI/UX design, with 5+ years in leadership roles
  • Proven success designing complex platforms with multiple user personas (e.g., dealers, end customers)
  • Expertise in design tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD) and prototyping platforms
  • Deep understanding of interoperability challenges and mobile-first design
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, HCI, Psychology, or related field (preferred)
  • Deep understanding of smart home ecosystems and interoperability (preferred)
