About the role
- Define and execute a unified UI/UX strategy across Control4 and OvrC platforms
- Champion customer-centric design practices addressing integrators and end users
- Oversee modernization of Control4 UI to enhance usability, personalization, and visual appeal
- Drive consistency and usability across OvrC, including multi-site management and automation workflows
- Lead initiatives to sunset legacy tools and migrate workflows into OvrC
- Build and mentor a high-performing team of UI/UX designers and researchers
- Implement scalable design systems and processes for cross-platform consistency
- Expand end-customer research programs (NPS, usability testing, focus groups)
- Partner with product, engineering, and marketing to translate business goals into user experiences
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in UI/UX design, with 5+ years in leadership roles
- Proven success designing complex platforms with multiple user personas (e.g., dealers, end customers)
- Expertise in design tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD) and prototyping platforms
- Deep understanding of interoperability challenges and mobile-first design
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, HCI, Psychology, or related field (preferred)
- Deep understanding of smart home ecosystems and interoperability (preferred)
