About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Effectively conduct RFI’s, RFQ, RFPs to secure direct materials and or services and present results to stakeholders.
- Execute comprehensive procurement strategies that align with organizational goals to enhance overall business performance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, supplier quality engineers, and engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure reliability and quality are considered when contracting and supplier performance meets technical and quality requirements.
- Conduct market analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities in the sourcing of materials and components.
- Analyze data to make informed decisions with knowledge of cost structures and financial impact/value.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure the best terms regarding price, quality, and delivery.
- Drive value delivery initiatives across the supply chain while maintaining or improving product quality and supplier performance.
- Implement supplier risk management strategies to minimize supply chain disruptions.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the sourcing department, encouraging innovation and efficiency.
- Comply with company policies, procedures and governance items.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing or procurement within the manufacturing or technical industry.
- Strong background in supplier management, contract negotiation, and supply chain risk management.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive collaboration across departments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and use data to drive decision-making.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey complex information to diverse audiences.
- Results-driven, with a focus on value delivery and efficiency improvements.
- Proactive and adaptable, able to navigate a dynamic industry landscape.
- Strong ethical standards and a commitment to quality.
- Detail-oriented, with a commitment to driving continuous improvement.
- Experience with ERP systems a must.
- Experience with Infor LN preferred.
