About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Communicate project objectives aligned with strategic business goals
  • Provide guidance and motivation to project teams
  • Coordinate business requirements gathering and documentation
  • Convert requirements into tasks and prioritize for team members
  • Review project schedules with project managers to identify necessary resources
  • Ensure stakeholder agreement on project scope and costs
  • Drive tasks to completion according to project schedule
  • Perform cost analysis for projects and identify cost-reducing solutions
  • Define and manage resource capacity and time tracking
  • Serve as escalation point to mitigate project risks
  • Manage project change control processes
  • Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project performance
  • Report project metrics and quantifying Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
  • Coordinate project related RFI / RFPs
  • Maintain relationships with service providers
  • Recommend, prepare, and conduct training for initiatives
  • Support coaching and skill development within the Project Management community.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • BS degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5-8 years of progressively responsible experience actively leading projects of medium size and/or scope with complex matrixed teams
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
  • PMI's Project Management Professional (PMP)® certification or equivalent highly preferred
  • Knowledge and experience in a manufacturing, shop floor environment, with product design and manufacturing execution systems
  • Experience working with project management software, such as Microsoft office suite including Teams and Project
  • Ability to influence and motivate teams without direct authority
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent analytical, logical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated, creative, and efficient in proposing solutions to complex, time-critical challenges
  • Highly organized with acute attention to detail.
