About the role

  • Develop screens and reusable components within Ignition and Perspective.
  • Maintain full stack ignition projects including SQL Server Development.
  • Integrate Ignition with ERP systems (e.g., Infor LN) via APIs and Data Lake.
  • Manage tag, script, and SQL database functionality.
  • Develop real-time dashboards and HMI interfaces for shop floor.
  • Implement error handling, data mapping, and interface templates.
  • Collaborate with IT, controls engineers, quality, ERP and manufacturing teams to define requirements.
  • Participate in on-call support and incident resolution.
  • Support deployments and version control of Ignition projects.
  • Maintain documentation and ensure system reliability.
  • Participate in DevOps workflows and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Use Jira, Bitbucket, and Confluence (or equivalents).

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent demonstrable experience.
  • 2-5+ years of experience with Ignition by Inductive Automation.
  • Proficiency developing in Python.
  • Familiarity with Perspective frontend.
  • Experience with SQL database interaction and SQL best practices.
  • Strong understanding of SCADA, HMI, and industrial automation.
  • Experience with REST/SOAP APIs, SQL, and ERP integration.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing workflows and data visualization.
  • Experience in manufacturing environments is a plus but not required.
  • Understanding of Agile Methodology.
