About the role

  • Lead the enhancement of the organization’s quality toolkit by facilitating structured improvement initiatives and deploying core problem-solving and risk management methodologies
  • Apply statistical process analysis techniques to monitor, control, and improve manufacturing performance
  • Provide training and mentorship on quality tools and methodologies
  • Champion quality improvement initiatives across cross-functional teams
  • Design, implement, and continuously enhance enterprise-wide quality assurance processes
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain teams
  • Support internal and external audits by ensuring process documentation and execution meet ISO and regulatory requirements
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
  • Develop and maintain process maps, SOPs, and work instructions
  • Lead or support Six Sigma projects to drive measurable improvements in quality, cost, and delivery
  • Analyze quality data and process metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
  • Provide training and guidance to facility teams on process standards, quality tools, and best practices
  • Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and regulatory changes impacting quality processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field)
  • 5+ years of experience in quality, process engineering or continuous improvement roles, preferably in transformer or electrical equipment manufacturing
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, IEEE transformer standards and Six Sigma principles
  • Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher) or CQE preferred
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with experience in statistical tools and quality software
  • Proven experience deploying quality tools within the DMAIC framework (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control)
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple sites
  • Willingness to travel to manufacturing and supplier locations as needed.
