About the role
- Lead the enhancement of the organization’s quality toolkit by facilitating structured improvement initiatives and deploying core problem-solving and risk management methodologies
- Apply statistical process analysis techniques to monitor, control, and improve manufacturing performance
- Provide training and mentorship on quality tools and methodologies
- Champion quality improvement initiatives across cross-functional teams
- Design, implement, and continuously enhance enterprise-wide quality assurance processes
- Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain teams
- Support internal and external audits by ensuring process documentation and execution meet ISO and regulatory requirements
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
- Develop and maintain process maps, SOPs, and work instructions
- Lead or support Six Sigma projects to drive measurable improvements in quality, cost, and delivery
- Analyze quality data and process metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
- Provide training and guidance to facility teams on process standards, quality tools, and best practices
- Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and regulatory changes impacting quality processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field)
- 5+ years of experience in quality, process engineering or continuous improvement roles, preferably in transformer or electrical equipment manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, IEEE transformer standards and Six Sigma principles
- Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher) or CQE preferred
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with experience in statistical tools and quality software
- Proven experience deploying quality tools within the DMAIC framework (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control)
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple sites
- Willingness to travel to manufacturing and supplier locations as needed.
