About the role

  • Serve as the technical lead responsible for the execution of project work related to water balance, water modeling, and water quality studies, supporting environmental assessment and permitting for large-scale capital projects.
  • Delegate and provide senior technical review to ensure deliverables meet client expectations for scope, budget, schedule, and quality.
  • Lead, hire, mentor, and inspire team members to support the long-term success of the technical group.
  • Provide leadership to expand ERM’s integrated water management services within the U.S. and contribute to growth in environmental impact assessment, land planning, permitting, risk assessment, and water resources management.
  • Leverage existing client relationships to expand ERM’s market share through exceptional technical performance and business development.
  • Support business development efforts within ERM’s global impact assessment and planning service area by identifying opportunities, preparing technical proposals, and playing an active leadership role in client engagement.
  • Actively engage with ERM’s international water resources community; collaborate with global practitioners; and contribute to multidisciplinary project teams across the organization.

Requirements

  • 4+ years (8+ years preferred) of consulting experience in water resource management, impact assessment, and permitting.
  • B.S. or M.S. in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong team-building and influencing skills; high integrity and the confidence to address complex client and business needs.
  • Deep familiarity with regulatory drivers in the diversified energy, technology, and mining sectors.
  • Broad knowledge of impact assessment best practices and a high level of technical competence.
  • Recognized technical expertise and an established reputation with relevant regulatory agencies.
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain long-term client relationships.
  • Positive, collaborative mindset and a passion for contributing to ERM’s global success.
  • Preferred Experience leading multidisciplinary teams across multiple offices or geographies.
  • Demonstrated involvement in global or international project delivery environments.
