About the Role: We are looking for a Senior Sales Engineer to join our Mineral Processing team. The primary function is to create and service a sales pipeline of opportunities and convert those opportunities into sales for the Mining market. The Senior Sales Engineer is responsible to work within the provided strategies, including direct selling to end-users, OEMs and EPCs, managing and retaining relationships with existing clients and supporting representative agents across the USA coverage area.
Responsibilities: Sales - identify opportunities, build and maintain a strong sales pipeline to achieve sales growth; Convert opportunities into orders through solution-based sales and relationship selling; Prepare, deliver and present detailed technical and commercial sales/product proposals and presentations; Deliver customer presentations daily or weekly as per the business plan; Manage lists of opportunities, accounts and targets, plan and prioritize to grow business within USA coverage areas; Plan to achieve 50% customer face/contact time targets as defined by KPI’s; Lead development of commercial proposals including estimating budgets and presenting the proposal to the client, contract negotiation, and ongoing follow-ups; Manage major accounts by confidently interacting at all organizational levels; Travel approx. 50%.
Strategic: Identify sales opportunities and coordinate Eriez resources; Assist to solve customer technical problems and recommend solutions; Attend trade shows & conferences; Champion client projects internally from concept to delivery; Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and market conditions in USA.
Reporting: Contribute to periodic sales meetings, update CRM, prioritize workload, meet targets, and provide feedback to product development, engineering, and marketing teams.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree, in related field such as Metallurgical or Mineral Processing Engineering
Minimum 10 years’ experience in Mining and/or Mineral Processing comprising one or more of the following: Equipment sales, including developing solutions and implementing them in the field
Field services and training to mining industry clients
Familiarity with flotation and magnetic separation technology
Strong sales and business acumen to develop and maintain long-term client relationships
Understanding of commercial terms and conditions for sale of equipment and services
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including confidence in giving presentations
Self-motivated, with a capacity to work independently and collaboratively
Fully competent in the full suite of MS Office products
Experience with a CRM system
Well-established network in the mining/metallurgical sector
