About the role

  • Design, analyze, and optimize mechanical systems, equipment, facilities, and processes to support manufacturing operations
  • Develop and implement engineering solutions that improve productivity, quality, cost-effectiveness, and safety
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, maintenance, and quality
  • Prepare, review, and edit technical documentation such as standard operating procedures (SOPs), product technical data packages and specifications, equipment and facility drawings, and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs)
  • Ensure compliance with applicable engineering standards, codes, and regulatory requirements
  • Provide onsite support at the federal manufacturing facility in Indian Head, MD and coordinate with ERG personnel in Fairfax and Arlington

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering
  • 4 – 8 years of professional experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Experience with energetics is a plus
  • Proficiency in using spreadsheets and statistical analysis to compile, analyze, and present data
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Highly motivated and ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks with limited oversight
  • Must currently hold or be able to obtain a Department of Defense Secret-level security clearance
  • Must be a U.S. citizen (position not eligible for Limited Access Authorizations)
