About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide support in training and team cohesion
  • Act as the SME (Subject Matter Expert) for Career Navigator functions
  • Model and advocate for operational excellence and high-quality customer service practices
  • Function as Career Navigator with specified lead duties including detailed case management, authorizing and coordinating supportive services
  • Meet with participants to identify barriers to employment and develop strategies
  • Maintain caseload and keep accurate case notes and records
  • Serve as a liaison between customer and service providers
  • Ensure accurate record of case file and electronic records
  • Attend leadership and team meetings as needed
  • Ensure confidentiality of job seeker information

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associate’s degree in related field and minimum 2 years of experience
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience with workload management and accountability
  • Demonstrated analytical skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Outlook
  • Experience with federal, state, and local regulations related to employment and training programs
  • Knowledge of characteristics associated with unemployed, dislocated, and disadvantaged populations
  • Strong writing skills to include report writing
  • Current valid driver’s license (with low-risk driver rating) and automobile liability insurance required
