About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Draft and file probate court documents, including petitions, notices, waivers, inventories, accountings, and closing statements
  • Prepare related correspondence and forms for clients, courts, and financial institutions
  • Track probate timelines and court deadlines, ensuring timely filings and compliance
  • Communicate with court clerks and maintain current knowledge of local rules and filing requirements
  • Manage case files, task lists, and calendars using cloud-based legal software
  • Assist with marshalling assets, preparing reports, and tracking distributions
  • Maintain proactive and professional communication with clients during standard business hours (9 AM – 6 PM)

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 3 years of recent paralegal experience in probate or estate administration
  • Availability to respond to client requests within one hour, Monday through Friday, 9 AM – 6 PM
  • Ability to work 20–40 hours per week on an ongoing basis
  • Windows 10 2GHz processing speed (typically Intel or AMD) i5 processor & above
  • 8GB+ RAM
  • 100GB+ of hard drive space
  • Bitdefender, McAfee Antivirus Plus OR Symantec Norton AntiVirus Basic
