About the role
- Create, update, and maintain data quality rules (DQ FRD), metadata, and standards across data domains
- Work closely with data owners and stewards to drive corrective actions and remediation while establishing issue tracking, steps to remediate, and root-cause insights
- Assist with data cleansing and enrichment tasks across any prioritized data migration initiative
- Monitor and report data quality metrics and thresholds
- Assist in designing and building effective reporting solutions with business context for accelerating resolution of issues
- Participate in process reviews and contribute suggestions to streamline data quality workflows and improve data governance maturity
- Support senior analysts in gathering requirements from data stewards and assist in defining measurable DQ metrics and thresholds
- Perform data validation, profiling, and documentation activities under guidance.
- Validate consistency of data quality rules across Source Systems (SORs)
- Assist in managing version control for DQ rules, definitions, and triage protocols.
- Maintain all data quality assets within the data catalog
- Prepare initial drafts of DQ reports or summaries for review
- Willingness to learn and apply data quality best practices through hands-on work and mentorship
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field
- 1-2 years related work experience or internships or related academic/Capstone projects
- Basic SQL skills and willingness to grow technical proficiency
- Familiarity with or exposure to data quality concepts, dashboards, or rule-based validations
- Ability to analyze datasets, identify issues, and communicate findings clearly.
- Strong attention to detail, documentation skills, and eagerness to learn
- Good communication and collaboration skills
