About the role
- Lead small to medium projects and global engineering initiatives; set objectives, timelines, identify risks, and define success metrics
- Provide project leadership to ensure outcomes meet or exceed Equinix expectations across cost, schedule, quality, safety, and availability
- Own expert-level operational oversight of electrical systems.
- Leverage incident trends, near-misses, and root-cause analysis to recommend system-level improvements and configuration changes that strengthen reliability and reduce systemic risk
- Collaborate closely with other cross functional and site ops teams to resolve systemic engineering and operational challenges, strengthen reliability and improve operational consistency
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering or related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in mission-critical industries, including telecommunication and data center service providers, critical equipment suppliers, oil and gas facilities, semiconductor manufacturing facilities, and utility plants
