About the role

  • Define and execute a strategic roadmap to deliver scalable, developer-friendly quality services that support unit, integration, performance, and end-to-end testing
  • Champion "quality as code" and "testability as a feature" principles across engineering
  • Build platform capabilities such as test orchestration, test data management, synthetic monitoring, and fault injection
  • Drive initiatives that provide engineering teams with visibility into quality metrics (e.g., flakiness, coverage, pass rates) and integrate them into daily workflows
  • Partner with product, developer experience, SRE, and platform teams to shift quality left, reduce release risk, and accelerate delivery
  • Partner with engineering leadership to define quality SLAs and automate enforcement through CI/CD
  • Cultivate a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement around product quality

Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience in software engineering or quality engineering, with 7+ years in technical leadership or platform engineering roles
  • Proven experience building internal tools or platforms focused on test automation, quality engineering, or developer enablement
  • Deep understanding of CI/CD systems, test frameworks (e.g., Jest, JUnit, Cypress, Playwright), and modern SDLC practices
  • Strong background in observability, metrics, and feedback loops related to test health and software reliability
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to influence quality strategy across product and engineering
  • A mindset that balances technical rigor with pragmatism, enabling teams to move fast without sacrificing stability
