About the role
- Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture
- Ensure reliability and scalability of our data infrastructure while participating in continuous improvement of our processes and tools
- Implement and maintain data quality standards, monitoring, and alerting systems. Ensure data pipeline reliability and establish best practices for data consistency across our platform
- Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL and 'Big Data' technologies
- Work with stakeholders to assist with data-related technical issues and support data infrastructure needs
Requirements
- You have 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer designing, developing and optimizing strong and flexible data pipelines, architectures and data management strategies
- You have a focus on high-volume data processing (in advertising, streaming, banking, etc)
- You have working knowledge of message queuing, stream processing, and highly scalable 'Big Data' data stores
- You have advanced SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases
- You have a great ability to learn, and you are eager to expand your areas of expertise
- You have a strong quality mindset and care for the overall performance of the product
- Familiarity with Kubernetes and dbt preferred
