Facilities Engineer II – III – Senior – Expert

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead engineering efforts for the design, modification, and optimization of midstream natural gas infrastructure including compressor stations, dehydration systems, and metering facilities.
- Provide technical expertise on gas compression, and processing systems, including facility layout, equipment sizing, and specification.
- Develop and review engineering designs, P&IDs, and process flow diagrams (PFDs) in compliance with company standards and regulatory codes (DOT, PHMSA, ASME, API, etc.).
- Generate and evaluate project scopes, cost estimates and project schedules for new installations, expansions, and facility upgrades.
- Support construction, commissioning, and troubleshooting of midstream facilities in collaboration with Operations, Construction, and EHS teams.
- Create operational documentation and provide technical training to field and operations personnel.
- Maintain consistency and compliance in midstream engineering practices with federal and state regulations and company procedures.
- Coordinate with third-party vendors, consultants, and internal teams to ensure timely and effective project execution.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Petroleum Engineering (or a related engineering field).
- Minimum of 4 years of engineering experience, preferably in midstream or natural gas systems.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Understanding of gas pipeline design, compression, dehydration, and metering systems.
- Familiarity with industry codes and standards (ASME, ANSI, API, PHMSA, NACE, DOT).
- Strong knowledge of thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and process engineering principles.
- Proactive, results-driven mindset with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel up to 20% and work a flexible schedule including weekends/holidays as needed.
