About the role

  • Execute a series of AI experimentation sprints throughout the summer, each focused on a defined Finance or business output (e.g., management reports, financial analyses, performance narratives, decision support materials)
  • Work from problem statements and target outcomes, without prior exposure to existing processes or templates, to independently explore alternative AI‑first approaches
  • Leverage AI tools and platforms with a strong preference for Microsoft Copilot and tools within the enterprise ecosystem, including Power BI, Excel automation, and analytics capabilities
  • Apply business and finance judgment to ensure outputs are relevant, decision‑useful, and aligned with how Finance leaders think about performance, risk, and trade‑offs
  • Produce experimental outputs alongside concise documentation outlining:
  • Tools and techniques used
  • Time and effort required
  • Key insights, limitations, and learnings
  • Partner with Finance leaders and subject‑matter experts to review results and identify which experiments may be refined or operationalized

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science or a closely related field with a minor in Finance
  • Have strong language agnostics coding experience (Java, python, #C, C++) and AI experience (ChatGPT, Co-pilot, Claude, and/or Gemini)
  • Hands‑on familiarity with modern AI tools, including:
  • Prompt‑based “vibe coding” and rapid experimentation
  • AI copilots (preference for Microsoft Copilot)
  • Data and analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Excel, or similar)
  • Comfortable speaking the language of business and finance (e.g., performance, drivers, trade‑offs, efficiency, outcomes), even if not formally trained as an accountant
  • Strong interest in applying artificial intelligence to real business problems.
  • High curiosity, comfort with ambiguity, and ability to learn tools independently
Benefits
  • Competitive discretionary bonus
  • Market leading RRSP match program
  • Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability benefits
  • Employee Share Purchase Plan
  • Maternity/Parental top-up while you care for your little one
  • Generous vacation policy and personal days
  • Virtual events to connect with your fellow colleagues
  • Professional development and comprehensive Career Development program
  • A fulfilling opportunity to join one of the top FinTechs and help create a new kind of banking experience
