About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Execute and monitor accounts payable processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including reconciliations
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and international standards (GAAP, IFRS)
- Maintain proper documentation and audit trails
- Subledger reconciliation of payables
- Experience with custom invoices, withholding tax invoices
- Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Support financial reporting activities and ensure data accuracy
- Contribute to maintaining strong internal controls and risk mitigation
- Identify process improvement opportunities within AP and accounting workflows
- Support automation initiatives (e.g., ERP enhancements, RPA tools)
- Help streamline processes to reduce manual work and improve efficiency
- Collaborate with finance teams, procurement, and other business units
- Act as a point of contact for queries related to AP processes
- Support internal and external audit activities
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
- Professional certifications (e.g., ACCA, CPA) are a plus
- Fluent English skills
- Knowledge of Italian is a plus
- Minimum 6-7 years of experience in accounts payable
- 5 years of experience in the position
- Experience in an international or SSC environment is a must
- Knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and local accounting regulations
- Experience with financial reporting, reconciliations, and AP processes
- Experience with SAP
- Exposure to process improvement and automation tools (RPA) is a plus
- Strong Excel skills
- Good understanding of internal controls and compliance practices
