About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) on light to medium duty trucks, including oil changes and routine services
- Recondition used trucks for resale or fleet redeployment, including inspections, repairs, and cleanup
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and basic electrical issues based on assigned repair line/type
- Perform test drives to confirm repairs and vehicle condition (valid MVR required for some hires, not all)
- Complete required paperwork and input repair information into the fleet management system in a timely manner
- Maintain assigned work areas and keep the shop clean and organized
- Follow all safety regulations and company policies
Requirements
What you’ll need- Prior experience as an automotive, light/medium duty, or diesel technician (dealership recon experience a plus)
- Valid Driver's License with a clean/acceptable driving record (MVR check required for some hires-not all)
- Ability to lift 100+ pounds
- Basic computer skills to log repairs and submissions
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Basic reading and writing skills to complete repair orders
- Own basic hand tools
