About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) on light to medium duty trucks, including oil changes and routine services
  • Recondition used trucks for resale or fleet redeployment, including inspections, repairs, and cleanup
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and basic electrical issues based on assigned repair line/type
  • Perform test drives to confirm repairs and vehicle condition (valid MVR required for some hires, not all)
  • Complete required paperwork and input repair information into the fleet management system in a timely manner
  • Maintain assigned work areas and keep the shop clean and organized
  • Follow all safety regulations and company policies

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Prior experience as an automotive, light/medium duty, or diesel technician (dealership recon experience a plus)
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean/acceptable driving record (MVR check required for some hires-not all)
  • Ability to lift 100+ pounds
  • Basic computer skills to log repairs and submissions
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions
  • Basic reading and writing skills to complete repair orders
  • Own basic hand tools
