About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Diagnose, service, and repair Rivian electric vehicles and systems
- Perform high-voltage system diagnostics and repairs (battery systems, inverters, drive units)
- Follow all Rivian and EV-specific safety protocols including PPE and lockout/tagout
- Perform traditional mechanical repairs when applicable (suspension, brakes, HVAC)
- Complete preventive maintenance and inspections for EV fleets
- Utilize diagnostic software and tablets for work orders and system updates
- Maintain accurate documentation of all repairs and diagnostics
- Manage mobile service inventory and parts sourcing
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3+ years of diesel and/or automotive repair experience
- Basic to intermediate electrical knowledge
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Safety-first mindset
- Ability to work independently in a mobile environment
- Valid Driver’s License
- Must supply own tools
- Rivian EV certification (highly preferred)
- Experience working with electric or hybrid vehicles
- Experience working on Dodge Promasters preferred
- Other EV or high-voltage certifications a plus
- CDL (a plus)
- Welding or fabrication experience
- Diesel technician experience a plus
- 1 year experience performing PMs and DOT inspections
