About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own the actuarial model library across D&O, Cyber, General Liability, Professional Liability, Property, and Employee Benefits
  • Translate actuarial model outputs into client-ready deliverables and executive presentations
  • Operationalize validated models through the SDLC into production with data and application engineering partners
  • Maintain quality and auditability standards for actuarial analytics outputs
  • Design, build, and validate actuarial and statistical models using Python
  • Build and develop a team of actuarial professionals while remaining a hands-on builder
  • Develop reusable analytics solutions and board-ready client-facing narratives
  • Partner with solution engineering on governed-platform deployment and development-to-production handoffs
  • Manage and direct onshore and offshore vendor resources
  • Collaborate on architectural decisions affecting client-facing actuarial deliverables
  • Engage practice leaders and client executives to embed deliverables into new and renewal business workflows
  • Maintain model documentation, validation records, and auditability standards
  • Contribute to the analytics roadmap by identifying data-driven opportunities across lines of business

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 7+ years of actuarial experience
  • At least 3 years in commercial-lines brokerage, carrier, or consulting environments
  • Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, or related quantitative field required
  • Production-level Python for actuarial modeling, statistical analysis, and data manipulation
  • Working understanding of version control, testing, documentation, and engineering handoff for model deployment
  • Comfort with large policy, claims, and exposure datasets
  • Working knowledge of Databricks, Azure, or equivalent platforms
  • Proven ability to build executive-level presentations and translate actuarial complexity into clear business narratives
  • Demonstrated experience building actuarial models in Python
  • Working knowledge of commercial lines insurance across D&O, Cyber, GL, PL, Property, and Employee Benefits
  • Familiarity with benchmarking, limit adequacy analysis, and TCOR modeling
  • Ability to work across a matrixed organization with brokers, practice leaders, client executives, actuarial departments, and technical teams
  • FCAS or ACAS preferred
  • Prior exposure to brokerage analytics context preferred
