About the role
- You handle complex written correspondence—from debtor counseling services to attorneys and courts—to clarify legal matters.
- You respond to telephone inquiries regarding collection cases, including installment and payment deferral agreements.
- You review customer files for collectibility, decide on claim cases, and monitor complex case details.
- You verify claim amounts and prepare documentation for attorneys.
- You make independent decisions about the collection process, taking into account cost-effectiveness and legal considerations, and initiate measures such as litigation and enforcement proceedings.
- You develop recommendations and maintain debtor-related data.
Requirements
- Completed commercial vocational training or relevant experience in dunning/collections, ideally as a legal assistant/paralegal or in collections administration
- Strong communication skills and precision in spoken and written language
- Ability to remain calm and maintain an overview even under a high workload
- Good knowledge of Microsoft 365 (especially Teams, Outlook, Excel)
- Willingness to learn and ability to quickly get up to speed on new topics
