About the role
- You handle complex written correspondence from debt counseling agencies, attorneys, and courts
- You respond to telephone inquiries about collection cases, including installment payment and deferral agreements
- You review customer files for collectibility, make decisions on claims cases, and monitor complex issues
- You verify claim amounts and prepare documentation for attorneys
- You make independent decisions on the course of collection proceedings, taking economic viability and legal aspects into account, and initiate measures such as litigation and enforcement proceedings
- You develop recommendations and maintain debtor-related data
Requirements
- Completed commercial vocational training or relevant experience in dunning/collections, ideally as a legal assistant (Rechtsanwaltsfachangestellte/r) or as a collections clerk
- Strong communication skills and precision in spoken and written language
- Ability to stay calm and maintain an overview even under high workload
- Good knowledge of Microsoft 365 (especially Teams, Outlook, Excel)
- Willingness to learn and ability to quickly get up to speed on new topics
