New Business Development Manager
EonEnergyBusiness Development & Growth Manager identifying and securing new business opportunities in the energy sector. Focused on building strong customer relationships and delivering revenue growth.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and manage a pipeline of opportunities across consumer, SME, and/or commercial segments.
- Deliver against sales and revenue targets in line with company growth strategy.
- Lead prospecting, proposal development, and contract negotiation to close deals.
- Support the launch and scaling of solution products (tariffs, smart charging, vehicle-to-grid, bundled services, heat, solar & storage and financing).
- Build strategic partnerships with technology providers, installers, community groups, and trade associations to expand reach.
- Negotiate commercial agreements to expand distribution channels and enhance customer value.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, tailoring solutions to their needs.
- Monitor trends in the energy market and share insights internally to shape strategy and proposition design.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proven experience in business development, sales, or partnerships (energy, utilities, telecoms, or related sectors).
- Strong track record of achieving and exceeding sales/commercial targets.
- Strong relationship management and negotiation skills.
- Commercial and financial acumen - ability to structure and evaluate business deals.
- Knowledge of solutions, EV charging or energy retail propositions.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
