About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own the multi-quarter roadmap and business case for Digital Envoy's core IP Intelligence and geolocation data products.
- Translate market opportunities, customer needs, and the product team's vision into a prioritized roadmap engineering can execute against.
- Create clear, specific product requirements, developed in partnership with engineering and GTM stakeholders.
- Make the strategic trade-off calls (build vs. buy, depth vs. breadth, new capability vs. hardening) that shape where the product goes next.
- Define pricing and packaging input for new capabilities in partnership with leadership and go-to-market teams.
- Partner with Marketing to identify feature launch requirements and help build the right collateral.
- Communicate and train stakeholders across Sales, Sales Engineering, Customer Success, and Tech Support on product capabilities.
- Partner closely with engineering leads to translate roadmap priorities into well-scoped delivery, without owning day-to-day sprint mechanics yourself.
- Partner with data science and data analytics to understand data quality constraints and fold them into the roadmap.
- Represent the voice of the customer and the market, grounding every roadmap decision in evidence, not opinion.
- Brief leadership regularly on strategy, roadmap progress, risks, and trade-offs, functioning as a trusted peer-level partner rather than a reporting layer.
- Stay close to how customers use IP Intelligence and geolocation data, through support tickets, sales calls, competitive deep dives, and direct conversations.
- Track competitive and market movement in IP Intelligence, geolocation, and adjacent data categories, and translate it into roadmap and positioning decisions.
- Turn qualitative and quantitative signal into a roadmap that reflects real customer and business value, not just internal opinion.
- Identify, define, and track the product metrics that matter (accuracy, coverage, adoption, revenue impact) in dashboards you build and own, and know which ones are moving and why.
- Build reporting that shows leadership and stakeholders exactly where the product and its roadmap stand.
- Hold a high bar for data quality and reproducibility, consistent with Digital Envoy's identity as a precision data company.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 10+ years in product management, with a track record of owning a product's strategy, roadmap, and business outcomes end-to-end at a senior or staff level.
- Demonstrated experience as an individual-contributor product leader, comfortable operating at senior scope without direct reports.
- Experience with data products, B2B SaaS, or infrastructure/API products; direct experience with IP Intelligence, geolocation, or network data is a strong plus.
- Adept at working with AI-powered features and tools already in the product, understanding their capabilities and limits well enough to make sound roadmap and data decisions.
- Fluency partnering with engineering on delivery, translating strategy into scoped, executable work.
- Comfortable working with SQL, AI tools like Claude and reading data directly to make product decisions.
- Working knowledge of how machine learning and LLM-based systems are trained, evaluated, and where they fail.
- Familiarity with data quality frameworks and semantic data modeling as they apply to geospatial or network data.
- Enough technical fluency to have a credible, detailed conversation with engineers about system design and trade-offs.
