About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Responsible for answering inquiries from patients regarding account charges, insurance payments and balances due.
Perform clerical duties such as collecting balances due and recording payments to accounts.
Maintain strict confidentiality regarding Patient Health Information (PHI) as well as follows HIPAA regulations.
Assist facilities, payers and patients with inquiries via phone.
Set up payment plans when requested by patients.
Communicate questions and/or issues to the Lead and Supervisor when necessary.

Requirements

What you’ll need

1+ year of Customer Service/Call Center experience – medical or healthcare preferred
Knowledge of EOBs – preferred
Detail oriented, self-motivated, a problem solver and a team player
Ability to navigate multiple computer screens and browsers quickly and accurately
Ability to excel in a very fast-paced team environment
Strong communication skills & professional demeanor.
