About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Responsible for answering inquiries from patients regarding account charges, insurance payments and balances due.
  • Perform clerical duties such as collecting balances due and recording payments to accounts.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding Patient Health Information (PHI) as well as follows HIPAA regulations.
  • Assist facilities, payers and patients with inquiries via phone.
  • Set up payment plans when requested by patients.
  • Communicate questions and/or issues to the Lead and Supervisor when necessary.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 1+ year of Customer Service/Call Center experience – medical or healthcare preferred
  • Knowledge of EOBs – preferred
  • Detail oriented, self-motivated, a problem solver and a team player
  • Ability to navigate multiple computer screens and browsers quickly and accurately
  • Ability to excel in a very fast-paced team environment
  • Strong communication skills & professional demeanor.
