About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Prepares and posts journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation
- Analyzes balance sheet accounts and prepares corresponding reconciliations
- Responds promptly to requests and inquiries
- Retrieves, processes, and analyzes data from various sources
- Maintains supporting accounting schedules
- Collaborates with team members across the company
- Adheres to compliance with company policies and procedures and applicable internal controls
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Basic understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and the ability to apply the principles to specific situations
- Ability to work collaboratively with other team members
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical, organizational, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize among multiple tasks and objectives
- Ability to demonstrate high integrity, especially in maintaining confidential information
- Ability to adapt in their performance of job duties according to manager feedback
- Microsoft Office Suite, most importantly Excel, Outlook, and Teams
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting from an accredited college or university required
- No prior experience required. 0-2 years of public accounting or industry experience preferred
- CPA preferred
