About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Ensuring all financial transactions are recorded accurately in the general ledger.
  • Participating in the month-end close process through preparation of journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Prepares and posts journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation.
  • Analyzes balance sheet accounts and prepares corresponding reconciliations.
  • Responds promptly to requests and inquiries.
  • Retrieves, processes, and analyzes data from various sources.
  • Maintains supporting accounting schedules.
  • Collaborates with team members across the company.
  • Adheres to compliance with company policies and procedures and applicable internal controls.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Basic understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and the ability to apply the principles to specific situations
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other team members
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize among multiple tasks and objectives
  • Ability to demonstrate high integrity, especially in maintaining confidential information
  • Ability to adapt in their performance of job duties according to manager feedback
  • Microsoft Office Suite, most importantly Excel, Outlook, and Teams
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting from an accredited college or university required.
  • No prior experience required. 0-2 years of public accounting or industry experience preferred.
  • CPA preferred.
